The Rocks is a historic laneway area in the shadow of Sydney Harbor Bridge.

Locals and visitors interact in the open-air Rocks Markets, where they buy street food and homemade clothing.

Plenty of the rocks in Sydney’s earliest pubs may be situated there.

The Museum of Contemporary Art hosts both national and international exhibitions.

Along the popular harbourfront walkway, buskers perform.

It welcomes Sydneysiders every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to explore a selection of wonderfully handcrafted goods, delectable snacks, and sweet delights, as well as live entertainment, with an abundance of unique artisan stallholders.

Here are some recommendations to add to your list of things to do in The Rocks Markets: Practicing yoga in the park, supporting local makers, and live music.

The Rocks Market

Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, The Rocks Markets brings talented and experienced artists and artisans to the heart of The Rocks with a selection of handicraft items.

Stroll around the lively market stalls to find locally made apparel, handcrafted jewelry, and one-of-a-kind homewares.

Meet local artists and photographers, try handcrafted beauty products, or simply grab a bite to eat from one of the numerous food sellers to keep you going.

Discover live music and activities to keep the whole family entertained.

There’s something exciting around every corner of The Rocks Market, with a varied variety of tastes and styles that proudly represent Sydney’s culture.

It’s an oasis as simple as the breeze, tucked next to the CBD and just steps from Circular Quay and Wynyard Station’s boats, trains, and buses.

The streets of Sydney’s oldest cobblestone streets will come alive with carefully picked handcrafted items, gourmet street food, and harbourfront views.

The offerings are ever-changing but always intriguing — you never know what unexpected treat will delight your taste senses next.

With so many options, there’s always something new to plate up and bite into.

A few places to try include Danieli skewers, DARE-Gozleme, Ervas Bitters, Giorgi’s gelato, La gitana, Lokma-Nia, Natas & Co., and That’s Amore street pizza.

Fluffy Pancakes On The Rocks

Pancake on the Rocks is an attraction in The Rocks.

It’s been serving up mouthwatering stacks for nearly half a century, making it one of the top eateries in Sydney for anyone with a sweet craving.

While pancakes are the house specialty, there’s something here for everyone.

One of the nicest things to do in Sydney on a weekend is to stroll The Rocks’ cobblestoned alleys and explore its historical buildings.

Then refuel your energy by eating to your heart’s delight.

The Rocks Saké Restaurant Sydney

Sake is a Japanese restaurant in Sydney that serves a sophisticated rendition of traditional Japanese food that mixes traditional techniques and modern ingenuity.

You’ve never had Japanese cuisine like this before.

Sake is the ideal restaurant in The Rocks for everything from romantic dates to getting the party started, with incredible cuisine, a world-class wine selection, an exceptional location, and a gloomy dining room.

Walking inside Sake is like discovering a hidden treasure.

Inside a sandstone heritage building on Argyle Street in the heart of old Sydney, the restaurant is nestled away.

When you walk in, you’ll notice massive original timber beams, a gaze full-wall artwork, and a semi-open kitchen.

In the evening, the lights are frequently dimmed and the ambiance is intensified.

Try some of Sake’s most delectable dishes.

If you don’t want to trust the chef, the a la carte menu is just as wonderful, including sushi rolls, hot and cold starters, and main courses.

The sushi is also unlike anything you’ve had before.

Double kingfish crunch with jalapeño mayonnaise, spicy masego, and crunchy tempura are sure to blow you away.

The main course is a short selection of five hefty but attractive dishes.

The melt-in-your-mouth 200g Tajima wagyu sirloin with Yakima tare and the delectable pan-seared duck breast with crispy onion and sansho pepper soy are also must-orders.

A Cheerful Beer Hall With Live Music, Imported Beers, And Traditional German Cuisine

The Munich Brauhaus The Rocks, formerly named Löwenbräu Keller, is a fantastic spot to satisfy your thirst.

All year long, you can dine, drink, and party like it’s Oktoberfest at this Bavarian bier Haus in a gorgeous heritage-listed structure.
