Australia’s Historic Trip To Pakistan Has Been Scheduled For March 2022.
Australian Cricket team will visit Pakistan later this year for the first time in 24 years after the Cricket Australia board approved the tour. Australia’s first visit to Pakistan since 1998 has been approved. The tour, which will include three Tests, three ODIs, and a T20I, has been planned since November 2021.
The tour will now begin and conclude in Rawalpindi, with the first Test scheduled for March 4-8 and the four white-ball matches scheduled for March 29-April 5. Because of the change in the first Test location, the second Test will be held in Karachi from March 12-16, and the third in Lahore from March 21-25.
The two cricket boards have also agreed that the Australia Test team will finish its training in Australia before flying to Islamabad on a chartered jet on February 27. They will undertake training sessions at the Pindi Cricket Stadium after one-day room isolation.
Australia’s 2022 Tour to Pakistan: The Tests will be part of the ICC World Test Championship, while the ODIs will be part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League, with the top eight teams, including hosts India, qualifying directly for the 50-over World Cup in 2023.

Agar hasn’t played a Test match since Australia’s previous visit to the subcontinent in September 2017 to face Bangladesh. Agar will be flying with fellow spinners Nathan Lyon and Mitchell Swepson. Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis have also been chosen to the team, and Ashes breakout star Scott Boland will go as planned.
This squad is prepared for any circumstance, especially the conditions, given how long it has been since Australia has been in Pakistan. It’s also a historic tour, given how long it’s been since an Australian team visited Pakistan.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released its Test team for the forthcoming home series against Australia, which includes 16 players and five reserves. According to the PCB, three changes were made to the national Test team following the Bangladesh visit.

The Australia Tour of Pakistan 2022 is an international tournament that is part of the International Cricket Council’s Future Tour Programs (FTP) launched in 2009. The Tournament of Australia Tour of Pakistan 2022 will be held in Pakistan commencing March 4, 2022. The first Test match between Pakistan and Australia will be contested on March 4, 2022, at 15:00 local time at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
