If you are planning to go on a vacation to Australia, then Sydney is the city that needs to be on the top of your list as this city always has something for everyone. Sydney, the capital city of New South Wales is the largest and the oldest city in Australia and is also one of the safest, most attractive cities in the world.

Sydney is a place containing a number of outstanding museums and art galleries, delicious food, peaceful beaches, skyscrapers and enjoying a number of exciting events and festivals in this beautiful city. The city welcomes around 12 million domestic visitors and 4.1 million international visitors every year.

Top Attractions Of The City

Sydney’s natural beauty is famous all around the globe containing wonderful beaches, historical art and museums, opera houses and much more. We will discuss some of the top attractions of the city.

  • The Stunning Heights Of The Harbour Bridge

Sydney’s Harbour Bridge is one of the most famous attractions of the city and is well known all around the world. It is not only the world’s largest steel arch bridge, but it also crosses one of the world’s most beautiful natural harbours. The bridge is an important element of the city and you can even climb to the top of it for spectacular views.

  •  The Famous “Sydney Opera House”

The Sydney Opera house is one of the largest world’s icons and a famous landmark of the city. This elegant structure is fashioned like shells or billowing sails which sits on a strip of land and is surrounded by sea. With its sails, this instantly identifiable structure puts on around 2000 shows every year for 1.5 million visitors.

  • The Lovely Beaches Of The City

You can relax on Sydney’s stunning beaches as the city is full of wonderful beaches where you can enjoy peacefully and see the beauty of the city which range from peaceful bays from Sydney Harbour to some of the top surf beaches in Australia. In Australia oldest national park, the Royal National Park, there are world-famous Bondi and Manly beaches, as well as well-kept secret beaches and gorgeous beautiful beaches.

One Of The World’s Safest City

If you are in a new city, it is important for you to feel safe, but if you are in Sydney, you don’t need to worry about it as Sydney is the world’s fourth safest city and you can safely move around the city at any time of the day and night.

Sydney’s night time safety is excellent but yes, there are some areas you should stay away from, but they are just few and far between so it’s safe enough as long as you know where you’re going. You just have to stay calm, and stay away from the so-called trouble spots.

Sydney in the old 90’s

In the early 1990s, Sydney was a far more attractive city. Sydney was a major metropolis in the 1980s, and it was most likely at its peak. The city was vibrant before in many ways.

The original pubs remained unchanged and unrenovated. People love to go to the pubs more than they do now, and they would have no concerns about driving while drunk.

At that time, there were ‘wine bars,’ which required a special license to serve wine. Live music was especially popular at event venues because it had the economies of scale to accommodate high-profile acts.

Final Word

For the majority of the world, Australia is a faraway land on the other side of the globe. Sydney, without question, is Australia’s crown gem. The city should be on everyone’s bucket list since it has some of the world’s most stunning beaches, world-class restaurants, and amazing experiences.
